Bill Binder's Freeware Software and Gaming Site

My web sites have experienced plenty of technical difficulties in the past. It all began when I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute several years ago. At that time, I had to move my web pages from WPI to my new ISP, which happened to be Ultranet. But less than a year after getting everything settled onto Ultranet, I moved again. This time I had my own Static IP (given by Concentric) and I ran my own servers. That site was known as milamber.transcendence.net. About a year after that site went up, I moved yet again. This time I was forced to go back to a dialup connection (Mindspring), and I decided not to run my web pages from there. Transcendence.net was still up and running, so I backed up my site on both lina.transcendence.net and christine.transcendence.net. But sometime around April of 2001, transcendence went offline indefinitely. And so my web pages went off the Internet for a period of about six months.

Back before transcendence.net went offline, I had switched from a Mindspring dialup account to a RoadRunner cable modem account. My speed on the Internet was greatly increased, but I still had a dynamic IP address. And that is the way it still is today. But awhile back I discovered a fantastic FREE service (www.dyndns.org) which allowed me to register this new domain even though I do not have a static IP. And so I am back to running my own servers again. With any luck, this particular site will stick around for awhile. I know I have said that many times in the past, but my life is more stable at the moment, so this time the odds are better.

If any of my work interests you, feel free to take a look at my online resume (best-viewed using MS Word 97).

Nelia and Russell

A wonderful thing happened to me at 9:07pm on November 19th, 2002. My daughter Nelia Elizabeth Binder was born! Nelia weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces at birth, and she measured 20 inches long. Mom and baby both did great!

Another wonderful thing happened at 9:51am on November 9th, 2006. My son Russell Garrett Binder was born! Russell weighed a little bit more than his sister did (7 pounds 1 ounce), and he was a tad shorter (19.5 inches long). Once again, Mom and baby both did fantastic!

This link has been updated to include pictures of both Nelia and Russell from November of 2002 to the present. Obviously, more and more pictures will be added over time.

New House

Here are a bunch of pictures of the new house that Ashley and I just bought. It is a 3-bedroom, 2350 square foot house on a cul-de-sac with about a quarter of an acre of land. It is a brand new house, never lived in. And it is bigger than our old house, so we are quite excited about it. We close on Feb 11, 2004. Some of the pictures are rather dark, because it was a rainy day. But it will be enough to give you an idea of the house.
